You may have noticed that SJP has been a little quiet recently.  Well, this is because I am officially on maternity leave now after giving birth to our second daughter, Philippa Rose on Friday 9th March.  I decided to take a few photographs of her today, at 9 days old.  I’m sure you’ll be seeing much more of her on the website over the next few months too.

Amelia, the official “big sister” is thrilled with our new arrival and is completely besotted with her too, much to our relief!

Today was a great day.  I got to spend a few hours with a great friend, her husband and their gorgeous daughter S, who is absolutely adorable!  How lucky am I?

I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant with our second child, which we call Peanut.  I’ve wanted to get a few outdoor bump images for a while now, but it’s very difficult being on the other side of the camera and it doesn’t come naturally to me.  However, I’m pleased to say that James, my husband, was willing to take a few shots today.

Whilst we were out feeding the ducks with our three year old daughter, who we have affectionately called Bean since we first realised I was pregnant with her, I felt it was only right that I took some photographs of her too.  It won’t be long now before she’s a big sister and to say she’s excited is somewhat of an understatement!

Hopefully, the next personal blog post from me, will be to show you all our new addition to the family.

So, it’s only six weeks now until my second child is due!  It has passed incredibly quickly and it means I shall be having a little bit of time away from SJP, whilst we settle into a family of four.  However, before I do that, I’d like to offer an opportunity for one of you to win a competition for a free photo session of either your bump or baby.

I’ve been really lucky to have been able to continue photo shoots outside all year so far, especially with the mild weather we have had recently.  This day, although rather chilly, we thought outside would still give us the best images.

C and I were discussing poses etc for the shoot and said “wouldnt it be great if it snowed”  Little did we know, that by the end of the shoot, it started raining, but was in fact sleet!  I have added a lovely picture for you all to see at the end!
